How to Know When it's Time to Call in Reinforcements

You’ve set the goal. You know your why. You’re tracking your actions like a boss. And yet… the results? *Crickets.*
This is the moment most people start second-guessing everything. "Maybe I’m just not disciplined enough." "Maybe the universe hates me." "Maybe I should burn it all down and start a goat farm in New Zealand."
Hold the matches. Here’s the truth: Sometimes, even when you’re doing everything right, you need a little help.
Let’s say your goal is to improve your energy. You’ve been going to bed earlier, cutting caffeine after 2 PM, and swapping doomscrolling for a book. All great habits. But you’re still dragging through the day like a zombie in Lululemon. That might be your cue to call your doctor and check your iron, thyroid, or hormone levels. Because no amount of lavender pillow spray is going to fix a B12 deficiency.
Or maybe you’ve been training for a half marathon. You’re following a solid program, logging your miles, doing the foam rolling. But your knee is starting to whisper sweet nothings like “meniscus tear” every time you jog. It might be time to check in with a physical therapist or running coach to tweak your form—or at least confirm you’re not slowly self-destructing in the name of fitness.
Then there’s the classic career conundrum: You’ve been networking, updating your resume, applying for jobs—but no bites. Instead of spiraling into the pit of “I must be unemployable,” maybe it’s time to book a career coach or someone to give your resume a glow-up. A fresh perspective can spot things you’re too close to see.
This isn’t about outsourcing your power. It’s about supercharging it. Getting help doesn’t mean you’re failing. It means you’re smart enough to stop wasting energy spinning your wheels.
Because progress isn’t always about trying harder. Sometimes it’s about trying differently.
So if you’re nodding along right now, thinking, “Okay, but where do I even start?”—start here: Ask yourself, What kind of help would make this easier? Is it expertise? Accountability? Community? All of the above?
If your answer sounds like, “I need someone to help me get unstuck, stay focused, and remember what a badass I actually am”—then hi, that’s literally what the Middle Finger Makeover is all about.
This is your invitation to stop going it alone. If you’re stuck, spinning, or just over trying to white-knuckle your way through it all, join us. It’s part mindset shift, part motivation reboot, and a full-blown declaration that you're not here to play small or stay stuck.
You’ve got this. And we’ve got you.
